CAHPS® Consortium Invites Users to Present at National Meeting
What have you accomplished with a CAHPS survey? The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s CAHPS Consortium encourages you to submit a proposal to speak at our upcoming conference in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 19-21, 2010. We would welcome presentations on any of the following topics:
- Improving Health Care Quality and Patient Safety. How are you using a CAHPS survey to improve the quality of care for patients or health plan enrollees? What specifically are you doing to raise your CAHPS scores?
- Implementation of CAHPS Surveys. What have you learned from implementing an innovative sampling strategy or data collection method?
- Using CAHPS in the Real World. To what uses have you put the findings from one or more CAHPS surveys? What advice can you offer other users of any of the CAHPS surveys?
- Reporting CAHPS Results to Consumers. What lessons have you learned from reporting comparative quality information to consumers?
This CAHPS conference will be held in conjunction with AHRQ’s Surveys on Patient Safety Culture (SOPS). We are especially interested in presentations that would benefit users of both surveys. We will also be looking for presentations that support the meeting’s theme, “A Systems Approach to Patient-Centered Care,” by focusing on the use of surveys across multiple health care settings or the use of multiple surveys in a single setting.
All proposals are due no later than Monday, November 16, by 8 p.m. Eastern.
For more information, including a list of the elements required in your proposal, visit https://www.cahps-sopsugm.org/UGM/UGMCallForPresentations.aspx.
